The news travelled fast to all Ecopainting Toronto painters. It finally happened…Chester died.
His stiff bristles just laid there, stiff as a rock. Inside a plastic cutting bucket, thrown on a pile of empty cardboard boxes.
For one last time he was asked to do the impossible. He had to be fast and he had to be good.
The coating was epoxy, 100% solids epoxy! Once in it, there was no turning back. This time the task was too overwhelming, he didn’t survive it, nobody expected him to.
Chester thought he was one of a kind. He was a Corona Cortez. From the beginning he was longing for a special bond with his painter. She actually paid good money for him. She almost never paid money for any other brush before. He was hoping this special bond with her would be his ultimate salvation. He was so naive!
Within a week things started becoming obvious. She didn’t care about him at all!
His bristles became unruly, they never saw a comb. He was never cleaned and never washed after a paint job unless there was a colour change. He spent every night wrapped in plastic shopping bags and pieces of messy plastic. This was one filthy brush!
Reality is, Chester was the epitome of neglect and he knew it. Every night, in a dark and smelly tool bag, he would whisper quite a few choice words he’s been saving for her.
But to no avail, he was loyal to the end. He didn’t utter a word.
100% solids Epoxy took care of that.
