Markham Painters, “Nice talking to you!”

admin July 2nd, 2010 No Comments

Harley was happy to see the Markham Painters paint his house. He didn’t much care for the grass cutters, they were too loud! He didn’t mind the painter’s painting inside the house though, he got a chance to show off! He would look at you, swaying from side to side…he was dancing! While painting the family room in Benjamin Moore colour Shelbourne Buff, you would hear a hello from the kitchen next door…and it wasn’t another painter! If you were having

Painting walls and doors in Ajax.

Trim should be white…says who?  It seems that most people deem it to be standard procedure that trim is painted in white. Cloud White, Decorator’s White, Oxford White….at least some shade within the many shades of white. Where would that be written in stone! Take a look at the doors and trim in this room. This is spectacular! This is from a project our residential Ajax Painters did for a regular customer, in the winter of 2009. Because of  its

Whitby painters and the dog!

admin December 6th, 2009 No Comments

“This is my new home in Whitby, I’ve only just moved in! There are painters everywhere. I don’t know where to get some rest around here! Some peace and quiet would be nice. I’ll show them, I’m sure she’ll need these shoes at some point. They’ll soon see who’s boss around here. Come on, come and get them. But you have to wake me up first! ”                                                     By Karon

Chester R.I.P. The death of a paint brush.

admin November 22nd, 2009 No Comments

The news travelled fast to all Ecopainting Toronto painters. It finally happened…Chester died. His stiff bristles just laid there, stiff as a rock. Inside  a plastic cutting bucket, thrown on a pile of empty cardboard boxes. For one last time he was asked to do the impossible. He had to be fast and he had to be good. The coating was epoxy, 100% solids epoxy!  Once in it, there was no turning back. This time the task was too overwhelming,

Painting Toronto Clinic. 24 hour Painting Service.

admin October 25th, 2009 No Comments

In the summer of 2009 the commercial painters of Ecopainting had a chance to paint the entire Choice in Health Clinic. Choice in Health is a non profit community based abortion clinic operating since 1988 and run by women.  The customer was careful in choosing warm, comfortable and positive colours. Benjamin Moore’s colours were used in Ecospec zero VOC paints. All work had to be done after regular clinic hours and during the weekend.  Most of our painters at the clinic

Anything is paintable, why not Curtain – Drapery Rings

admin August 7th, 2009 No Comments

Can you paint anything? Sure you can. If you use the right primer and paint, there is almost no substrate that can’t be painted. Case in point is this unusual task. The curtain rods and the drapery rings had to be hand painted. Spraying them was not an option worth considering, due to environmental considerations. So the painter got her brush out, primed them with super adherent primer and painted them with Benjamin Moore’s Aura Satin enamel. The result was

Ajax Painters and a lot of colour

admin August 7th, 2009 No Comments

What an exciting project! Our client was out of town for a while, so we just went to town (or at least Ajax) with the colours they chose. Take a look at this nice bright kitchen.  Raquel will be so happy when she comes home. Never mind the kitchen, wait till she sees the nursery! What a warm and happy room. Not afraid of colour in this house….that’s great! What a nice family. Good luck on your new arrival. More on

Staining a Deck in Woodbridge

admin July 26th, 2009 No Comments

This deck in Woodbridge was in need of attention. The existing stain was peeling and flaking so the homeowner called Ecopainting. The failing stain was stripped down to the original cedar and a brightening solution was applied. A neutralizing agent was used and then it was left to dry. The painters used a translucent stain from Sikkens and two coats were applied. The result of the deck staining was a fresh new natural looking cedar that the family can now

Commercial Painters, Painting loft style Office

admin July 14th, 2009 No Comments

The Toronto Commercial Painters of Ecopainting had a chance to paint some office space for a customer in the old Toronto Carpet Factory. The old historic building was originally built as a carpet manufacturing facility between 1899 and the 1920s. It is now home to a large and vibrant business community operating out of it.  The main  challenge was painting this office space without interrupting the daily activities of the client. A lot of the work was done during weekends, as  a lot of equipment such

Toronto Deck Staining

admin July 8th, 2009 No Comments

Ignoring a deck without protecting it from the elements can be a very expensive mistake. The existing finish will start peeling  and fading and the wood itself can be damaged. As a result, stripping of the existing stain may become necessary. Sometimes wood replacement is the only solution for some boards.   By properly protecting a deck, it’s life can be extended and it can be enjoyed for many years to come. Deck Staining of this mid Toronto deck pictured here, was done by the painters
