A Toronto Painter is carefully painting exterior of building.
This will be a complete transformation. In a day or two, this building will be different. Benjamin Moore’s Exterior Aura low lustre is used. The feedback from the painters is very positive. The great hiding qualities of this new paint makes work easier and even safer. Less time is spent applying the paint, especially up high. As a result, less time is spent on high ladders. Renting a boom during the weekend was not practical and the flat roof of the building was not accessible.
Benjamin Moore claims that Aura is the best paint they ever made. That is great news for the customer, as this paint job will last longer. The environmental impact of Aura is minimal. The paint itself has very low level of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC). The waterbourne colourants themselves are also low in VOC. As a result, using such a strong colour during exterior painting does not present a problem.

Painting a child's room in Aurora
So adorable when she greeted the painters in the morning.
“Hi” she would say, “bye” when they left…she never missed a beat.
The painters were painting her room.
There was painting going on in other areas of the house, but not as far as this little girl was concerned, they were painting her room.
As the door opens one morning, we thought that she was enjoying this so much, as the pants she was wearing, so small and so white, with side pockets, looked like she was ready to help paint her room. They looked like painters pants, only very tiny ones.
Gentle Blush was her colour. Perfect, for the lovely little girl from Aurora.

Downtown Toronto, Painting built-in furniture
OMG, will Jennifer ever be happy to see that someone actually
put the first coat on this. She only has to do it again twice!
Imagine three times around!! This was absolutely tedious, to say the least.
My hands were a mess!
This was different. I have painted many cabinet units before, but never one
with a built-in dish rack.
What you see here is an application of a super adherent primer to be followed
with two coats of Benjamin Moore’s Aura Satin finish.
It will look stunning when complete and I am happy to say that my contribution
is over.
It’s a good thing she has such small hands.

...as soon as we get to it that is.

- Painting Downtown Buildings
Painters and other contractors face unique challenges when having to paint downtown office buildings, condos, or houses. Getting to the job-site and dealing with everyday traffic makes one appreciate the everyday challenges couriers or cab drivers are facing daily.
And let’s not forget the usual winter storms, or summer construction.
Toronto house painters have to find a parking space close enough to the house, to make loading and unloading paints and equipment easier. Driveway space is usually limited and used by the customer’s car. After street parking is found, cars have to be constantly checked and moved to avoid getting parking tickets.
Condo and loft painting in Toronto presents different challenges. Most buildings do not have sufficient contractor or visitor parking. Loading and unloading sometimes means dropping off supplies at the side or front of the building, or even the sidewalk and park somewhere further down the road.
An alternative is getting paint and supplies delivered to the site and some paint stores offer that service.
Toronto Commercial Painters have similar problems, magnified by the fact that the building they are painting may be in a very busy intersection in the downtown core. Transporting supplies and equipment sometimes has to happen through busy lobbies and busy elevators as arranging freight elevator time is not as practical.
Painting retail stores in malls is interesting. For example, parking under the Eaton’s centre. and transporting a “shop” to the store to be painted was interesting. Very soon you realize that there is a community of cleaners, security guards, maintenance and other contractors and they all do their thing their way late at night. They need to, as choices in production operations are very few.
Sure, we can paint the town red, green, pink, purple, blue, orange, yellow, beige….any colour,
as soon as we can get to it.
